Gris Volta se formó en el 2008 y sus canciones van desde el indie rock hasta temas con influencia del jazz y lo
experimental. A mediados del 2011 lanzan su álbum “Monochromo”, grabado, mezclado y masterizado en Estudio REC de Lima, Perú.
Éste ha sido reconocido como "Disco del año" por diversos medios, además de estar dentro de los 35 mejores lanzamientos para el diario inglés The Guardian.
